Marlon Baptiste Β· The Silent Assassin
“More Music, Less Talk.” New York’s premier Caribbean DJ β blending soca, dancehall, and island rhythms into an unstoppable force that moves every crowd.
Born Into the Beat
Marlon Baptiste’s relationship with music began at just 12 years old, guided by his relatives Jansen Archie and Hess Archie. What started as a childhood curiosity quickly evolved into a burning passion β performing at friends and family gatherings across Trinidad and Tobago, honing a feel for what moves a crowd before he ever touched a professional stage.
After migrating to the United States, it was only a matter of time before he emerged into New York’s limelight as a professional disc jockey. The name “Sounds 4 Life” was never just a brand β it was a declaration. Known as the “Silent Assassin,” he has a rare gift for electrifying any room, turning stillness into pure, unstoppable energy.
On the decks, Sounds 4 Life operates with seamless precision β blending, chopping, and reimagining tracks in real time to craft an endless, uninterrupted flow that keeps audiences of all ages locked in. There are no gaps. No dead air. Only sound.
His performances span carnivals and major events year-round β from Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, St. Vincent, Bermuda, St. Lucia, Grenada, and Barbados, to Toronto, Brooklyn’s Labor Day Parade, Los Angeles, Orlando, Miami, and Washington DC.
It’s who he is.
